01 Integrations

Alfred: type, Return, done

You install the Alfred workflow in Settings > Integrations with one click. Then fo finds any invoice, fot starts the timer and receipts go from Finder into the receipt inbox. You can change the keywords in Alfred.

fo: Searches invoices, quotes, customers, receipts and projects. Return opens, ⌘ Return copies the number, ⌥ Return the amount.
fot: Shows the running timer, starts it for a project or switches the task. Folnaro stays in the background.
fon and fog: Begins an invoice or a quote for a customer, or opens a section such as Time or Expenses.
Receipts from Finder: The file action Add as Receipt to Folnaro puts PDFs and images into the receipt inbox.

02 Integrations

Raycast: seven commands for your day

The Raycast extension searches your books, starts and stops the timer, shows the running time in the menu bar and creates invoice drafts and receipts. It is coming to the Raycast Store. As soon as it is listed there, you install it with one click.

Start Timer in Raycast shows your recent projects first, then all active ones.

Search Folnaro: Invoices, quotes, customers, expenses and projects in one list, with status, amount and due date.
Start Timer and Stop Timer: Your recent projects first. If a timer is already running, you switch in one step.
Create Invoice Draft: A draft with line items. Folnaro works out totals and VAT, the number comes when you finalize.
Capture Receipt: Takes the PDF or image selected in Finder and puts it into the receipt inbox.

03 Integrations

You decide who reads along

At first no launcher reads anything. For Alfred you turn on Launchers can read in Settings > Integrations; Raycast uses the permissions under Agents. Anything that changes something is done by Folnaro itself, with the same checks as a click in the window.

On your Mac: The results come through a helper inside Folnaro that has no internet access of its own.
Off at any time: If you turn reading off again, Alfred and Raycast show no more data.
Without a subscription: Search, open and copy stay. New timers, drafts and receipts then need Folnaro Pro.

04 Integrations

Shortcuts, Siri and Spotlight

In the Shortcuts app you start and stop the timer, ask for open invoices or create a contract from a quote. Siri understands the same actions. Spotlight finds your invoices, contracts, customers, projects, receipts and transactions.

Control Center: The Folnaro Timer control starts your last project or stops the timer, right in the menu bar too.
Focus: With the Timer Project focus filter, new time entries during a Focus start with the right project.
Keyboard shortcuts in every app: ⌃⌥⌘Space opens Search and Capture, ⌃⌥⌘T starts or pauses the timer, whichever app is in front.

05 Integrations

Links for your own scripts

The links the Alfred workflow works with are open to your scripts, automations and other launchers too. Folnaro opens only links in exactly this form and ignores everything else.

Records: folnaro://document/… opens an invoice, and there are links for customers, projects, expenses and time entries.
Sections and settings: folnaro://section/invoices shows the invoices, folnaro://settings/integrations opens exactly that setting.
Timer and new drafts: folnaro://timer/start with project and note, folnaro://timer/stop, folnaro://new/invoice for a new draft.

06 Integrations

Receipts arrive any way you like

A receipt comes to Folnaro whichever way suits you: through Share from Mail, Safari, Preview or Photos, through the Services menu in Finder, by dragging it onto the Dock icon or from a folder Folnaro watches. Everything lands in the receipt inbox.

07 Integrations

Paperless-⁠ngx, DATEV and agents

Folnaro also talks to the software around you. It exchanges receipts and finished documents with your Paperless-ngx. For your tax advisor it writes a DATEV export. Agents such as Claude work along through the local MCP server, by your rules.

Paperless-ngx: Folnaro brings receipts with your tag into the receipt inbox and, if you like, uploads finalized invoices.
DATEV: Bookings and receipts for your tax advisor, as a package per period.
Agents through MCP: Claude, Codex or Cursor work with the same checks as the app. You decide per area what they may do.
Switching: You bring your data over from SumUp Invoices, Lexware Office and sevDesk, with a check of the totals.

Why it matters

Most of the time something else is in front of you: a draft for a client, your code, an email. Starting a timer or looking up an invoice number should not pull you out of it. That’s why Folnaro sits in the tools you already call up from the keyboard.

Good to know

Folnaro has no account and no server for your data. With Alfred, Raycast, Shortcuts, widgets and Spotlight nothing leaves your Mac through Folnaro. An agent sends what it reads to the company that runs it. That’s why Read for agents stays off until you turn it on yourself.

Questions

Do I need the Powerpack for the Alfred workflow?

Yes. Workflows are part of Alfred’s Powerpack. If you have it, you install the workflow in Settings > Integrations with one click. Alfred shows it to you first and asks whether to import it.

Where do I get the Raycast extension?

In the Raycast Store, as soon as it is listed there. The extension is built and will appear there under the name Folnaro. Until then you reach Folnaro with Alfred, the Shortcuts app and Search and Capture.

Can Alfred and Raycast see my data without my permission?

No. Both are off at first. Alfred reads only once you turn on Launchers can read. Raycast needs Read under Agents. If you turn it off again, neither shows any more data.

Do the integrations work without a subscription?

Search, open, copy and Quick Look stay, after the trial too. New timers, drafts and receipts then need Folnaro Pro again. Alfred and Raycast tell you so instead of starting anything.
